Konig runs a free workshop series every half a year funded by Berliner Projektfonds kulturelle Bildung.
The aim of the Workshop series is for the participants to engage with their gender identity, find new ways of artistic expression and learn the tools to build a drag performance.
Above that, our goal is to build a group that will support each other. Each season consists of five workshops:
Drag History
Character development
Music and lipsync
Makeup
Outfit and crafting
With the workshops, we follow the order of how a performer prepares for their performance, starting with an idea, followed by research and finally putting it into reality.
If you would like to book one or more of these workshops outside of the program, contact us here
Apart from the workshop series, we offer a Tester Workshop that condensate these topics in 4-6h, perfect for a taste of the art of drag!

Before receiving the funding, Buba Sababa was giving all the workshops with their own resources. König has grown since then, and now our teachers are artists from the international drag queer community in Berlin.
The Workshop Manager Ruco laPesto and the Project Leader Buba Sababa, make a very exclusive selection of the best artists with expertise in the different topics of the workshops:
Our team of teachers is formed among others by Godx Noirphiles, Afro Disiacc, Nancy Nutter, Zero Pilnik, Alexander Cameltoe, Caine Panik, Lau Perrea, Mona Ladoll, Dornika ...
